Applications aren't open yet
We're building the vetting first. Cheating is a big problem in Rust and one cheater in a clan this size can get a lot of innocent people caught up in it, so nobody gets in until the checks are ready.
Five steps, mostly automatic
-
Read the rules
It's short. If being patient with new players sounds like a chore, CTFO isn't for you. That's fine.
-
Sign in with Discord
The clan runs on Discord, so that's how you sign up. We get your Discord ID and username, never your password.
-
Link your Steam account
If your Steam account is already linked to your Discord profile, we use that and there's nothing else to do. If not, link it in Discord or sign in through Steam's own page instead. You can apply without it, but you can't play in the clan until it's linked.
-
The checks run
Your account is checked automatically, see below. Most people pass in seconds. What we keep and why is in the privacy policy.
-
You're in
You get your invite, get put in a group and get shown round the village on your first night.
What we'll look at
All of it comes from your public Steam profile. A brand new Rust player is exactly who we want, as long as the account is real.
- Bans on the account, from Steam's anticheat or from game developers
- How old the Steam account is
- The games on it, a fresh account with only Rust is a common sign of a cheat account
- Your Rust hours. Zero hours looks suspicious unless the account has plenty of hours in other games
- Your Rust stats, where they look wildly out of line for your hours
- That it's your real account. No throwaway or bought accounts
